Meet the Maker

Gaile has been creating pottery for over a decade, bringing a passion for texture, form, and colour to every piece. She moved to Tasmania in 2010 and while living there, studied for a Diploma in Visual Arts. Much of her time was spent honing her artistic skills before returning to the Sunshine Coast and settling in Pomona in 2019.

For the past year, she has been sharing her handmade ceramics at local markets, inviting the community to experience the beauty of thoughtfully crafted pottery. The work reflects Gaile’s love of natural materials, playful design, and the slow, mindful process of making.

Nestled in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, Pomona Pottery is created in a tranquil home studio shaded by banksia trees.

Each pottery piece is shaped by hand, inspired by the surrounding bushland and nearby beaches, the work comes to life with a sense of place and individuality. Whether functional or purely decorative, every piece carries its own character and quiet charm.
